Default How to Edit "locked" Selections

Hi all,

Need help / advice editing specific parts of a word document. I can edit most of the document but there are many parts that do not allow me to edit them.

Vrz36ZH.jpg

When I try to edit this I get a message stating: "you can't make this change because the selection is locked".

Any idea on how to unlock this?

Version is Word 2016 - it is also a valid copy that is registered (googling this issue has just kept stating invalid version/copy marked as final which neither of these apply to this case)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Worst case scenario if I cannot edit this how would I make a new selection box like the one above. it looks to be a text box with a popup that is linked to other parts of the document.

This is a content control. You need to change its properties. It currently does not allow editing. Controls for this can be found on the Developer Tab.

How to attach a screenshot or file in this forum.

Cannot edit.PNG

I can't seem to edit its properties or even delete it. I have enabled the developer options but cannot find the options in the tabs above to configure the properties / delete it at all.

Disregard Prior! I have solved it!

But if anyone knows how to do this quickly for every single content control box in one swoop please let me know. Currently have to select each one individually then go into properties in the Developer tab. With over 300 of these in the word file it will be time consuming.

Greg Maxey's Content Control Tools may give some options. (I don't know but this is where I would look.)
