Default Word 2013 printing issue

We have a document that will not print. it just freezes up and crashes word. tried multiple printers and multiple computers. ive tried copy/pasting the text from the doc into a new one and it still crashes. Ive tried removing all of the text from the doc and just printing one word, it crashes. if you email this doc and open it as an attachment it will print, but as soon as you save it and try to print, it crashes. I cannot figure this one out. its a 12 page doc and they use it as a template, so its been a huge pain.... Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Your description suggests the document has acquired some of corruption. Corrupt documents can often be 'repaired' by inserting a new, empty, paragraph at the very end, copying everything except that new paragraph to a new document based on the same template (headers, footers & macros may need to be copied separately), closing the old document and saving the new one over it.
