Hello

My wife installed WIN 10 on her computer and MS_Office 2007. When she starts MS_Word it takes about 45 seconds to startup, compared with 4 second on my computer Windows 7 and MS_WORD 2007. Sometimes there is also a massage - if I am correct - about compatibility. Are there some way to accelerate the process? ASW both of us are already retired, we do not want to upgrade to the new versions.

Did she load an older legacy template that might be causing an issue at startup?

What addins are running?

for your suggestion, my wife has only the templateswhich came with the MS_WORD 2007 and a few I c^reated, as letterhead or envelops with her return address. The only AddOns she has are a few for Firefox, but I don't think that they have some influence to Word.

I tried today again, three times I got after starting Word from the Icon some 90 second startup time and each time a popup windows "Konfigurationsstatus" (sieh attachment). When I started with an existing Word file, the startup was fast, may be 4 seconds and there was no popup windows.

You can do a registry entry to stop this problem. I did a quick google search for the relevant instructions and found these links.

Note that Word 2007 has a version number of 12.0 so you would need to use that number instead of the 14.0 which is relevant to Word 2010.
