Default How do I correct errors in Word's hyphenation dictionary?

There are several incorrect break-points in Word's hyphenation dictionary. Two that come to mind immediately are the-se and alt-hough. Is there any way to correct these in the dictionary? If not, how can I turn off hyphenation for just a single word?

This is an ongoing issue for me, too, so I wanted to revive this question. Is there a way to edit Word's hyphenation dictionary?
