Default Rebinding "Ctrl+F" to bring up Find & Replace Window in Word 2013

Hello,

With Word 2013 default settings, Ctrl+F brings up this navigation panel on the left that I never use.

Instead, what I'd like it to do is bring up the Find & Replace screen, like it did back in Word 2007 and 2003.

How do I rebind Ctrl+F to bring up the "Find and Replace" screen, with the Find tab set as the active one?

I know how to get to the "Keybaord Shorcuts: Customize" button/screen, but I have no idea where the option to create a shortcut for Find & Replace is.

Ctrl+G brings up the Page Number search window, but then I have to click the "Find" tab on it, which I don't always remember to do, and I wind up wasting some extra clicks once I've realized my confusion.

https://www.shortcutworld.com/en/win...13.html#link_8 suggests "Ctrl+H followed by Alt+D" to open the traditional Find window. Don't ask me why Microsoft decided to make the second tab in the dialogue the default …

CTRL+H displays the Replace dialog, just as it has in all earlier versions.
CTRL+F was formerly alloocated to EditFind, but re-allocated in Word 2010 to the Navigation task pane, now I believe called Advanced Find(?), but if you prefer the Find dialog, you can always re-assign CTRL+F to the EditFind command which is still available.

Assigning keystrokes is found under Customize the Ribbon at the bottom of that dialog. The command you are looking for is EditFind as stated by Graham.
If you need help with this, write back.

Thanks gmayor and Charles for help with the rebind, I needed to know that the command was "EditFind". Makes my life so much easier!
