Default How

How do I upload to DropBox or Onedrive?

What are the URLs for those? I've never done that before.

How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
What files types can I use? How large can attachments be?
In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board.

PecoFlyer, thanks!
...thanks to your info, I now noticed that my zip file is 2.28mb.

I wish the app. would have displayed a clearer msg. stating that my file is too large to upload, rather than "upload of file failed".

Any suggestions how to proceed now?
Would Dropbox (or whatever) be a learning curve?

Posting files on external links may deprive you from some answers because not all members can access external links.
The same for members wanting to follow the thread to learn something and cannot access external links.
Could you not create a small sample file showing what you have and expected results ( eventually) so it can be posted on the forum for all to access?
As you can see,max file sizes are clearly indicated in the " Manage attachments" wizard

I'll see if I can figure out how to do that.
Best might be an online app. which could somehow convert a Word file into an HTML file.

It's not really related to Word, but rather, I merely composed the file using Word, with explanations plus crude pics. that might be helpful as a tutorial for beginners to master layers in paint.net.

I've noted confusion online, by at least one other beginner like myself, who didn't grasp layers. Someone like her might have benefitted by such a tutorial, geared to a certain way of thinking.

That's why I composed it (however crude the pictures) except I don't know how to get it to last base.

The problem I used to have with layers was accidentally selecting content on a layer I didn't actually want to change … pending a solution to your Word question via the forum, I suppose your colleague has tried http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/LayersWindow.html and not got anywhere :-}

I don't quite follow. How is your link a solution to the Word question?

BTW, I had plowed thru all sorts of Layers tutorials and still failed to get it.
Sorta like prior to Helen Keller's "water" epiphany.
I actually spent many weeks trying to get it.
I've always been like that. A slow study re: new concepts.

So my tutorial, however crude the pics, addresses that.

P.S. Does anyone know of another forum, which accepts ZIP files that are a bit larger, so that I can then point you to it? That might be the easiest solution.

I could post in a forum that offers miscellaneous chat.

Then you could see the area where my line breaks or columns (whatever) glitched.

And then maybe someone could advise me how to convert it to HTML without needing to re-type it, then onto WordPress?
