Default Javascript error in Word 2013 in Mendeley Desktop

Hi there,

I recently installed MS Office 2013 and my Mendeley Desktop reference manager did not work when I tried to cite in my thesis. This lead me to trying various possible solutions posted on Mendeley Support and MS Office, but to no avail. The error message still said: Javascript Problem. Citations work if I open a new document.

I then looked at the script (using toggle field codes) of the citations between my problematic document and a new document. I have now identified the problem within the script of my document, but how can I edit the toggle field codes for ALL current Mendeley citations, and not just a single citiation, in my problematic document? If I delete the part of the script causing the problem, it only does it for that single citation and not the whole document (which is what is needed in my case).

I have tried copy-pasting my thesis into a new word document, but the same problem occurs which means I am obviously copying the problem along with my text.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Melissa

Are you asking how to toggle all field codes (irrespective of whether they are citations or not)? If so try Ctrl-A then Alt-F9
