Spellchecker not working
My spellchecker doesn't seem to be working. It might be me since I've been using works mostly up til now, but I did use word some on my older windows 98 computer and the spellchecker worked so well it was almost a PITA. Now, I can purposely misspell a word and it just give me the check complete box instantly with now changes or anything. Any help?
Thanks! |

With Word 2007, I would start with the Office Oval > Word Options > Proofing and see what I had checked and unchecked
With Word 2002, I suspect Options are under Tools Even if this does NOT provide you the exact answer, this answer should help you farther refine your question |

I suspect not, if you can find your Word Options probably under Tools
If you can find what I suggested this should get you started Let me know if it doesn't get you started on a solution |

I looked under Tools/options/spelling and grammar and I'm showing a custom dictionary [CUSTOM.DIC(default)]. Maybe I need a different dictionary?

Does this help?
With 2007, I show "Custom Dictionary," but this is where Word puts in any words I want to add to the dictionary Under my Options both this and the main dictionary are unchecked, obviously |

Hmm..... Custom dictionary is the only thing listed on mine. I wonder if I can download a dictionary from microsoft? Can you give me any idea as to where I should look for downloadable dictionaries?
