How can 'save as' a part of a document without deleting rest of the document?

You could copy the part you want to save into a new document, then save that.

Or delete the part you don't want and SaveAs with a new name. The original will be as before.

Because Ctrl+S is so easy to hit, I do the Save As first and then delete.
