Customize Check Boxes
Hi everyone, I'm helping a colleague customize his workflow. I've attached the document we're trying to tweak.
If you open the document you'll see three tables at the bottom. Currently, to check a box, he has to highlight it, go to properties, and select "checked". He wants to just be able to click the box and have it check & uncheck. Is there a way to alter the checkbox properties to make this possible? Or do we need to re-design the table with a different type of checkbox? Much thanks, Alex |

Your document uses formfield checkboxes. For these to work by clicking on them, you need to apply the 'filling in forms' editing restrictions to the document. Doing so, though, will render the rest of the document uneditable - you'd need to add text formfields to any parts of the document where you want to allow user input.
As an alternative, you could use a checkbox content control (Office 2010 & later) or a dropdown content control with checkbox characters (Office 2007 & later). Content controls don't require any editing restrictions to work.
