QR-code
Hello,
I'd like to generate a qr code in a word document based upun a string in the document itself. For example when someone types a text (like C14/0001) i'd like to have a QR code (class 2) in the document. We're using W7 and office 2010. Does anyone know a solution? thx i.a. Anton |

This will require 3rd party software. Word 2013 will generate a QR field, but not Word 2010. Once the code is created, it can be saved as an image file and incorporated into a Word 2010 document.
The following makes generation in Word 2013 easy (but does not work with Word 2010). Bar Code Add-In |

Thanks Charles for your reply. I was afraid of that (using third party software). I'm looking or a solution (maybe a VBa script/macro) in word 2010. This is the standard word version for the moment.
Ik work in a hospital, so I have to deal with the restrictions regarding third party software and office 2013 has not been implemented (yet) |

You can use one copy of Word 365/2013 to produce the QR codes, save them as image files and use those image files in Word 2010. That is likely to create a job for someone, though.
The link I gave gives information about the implementation in Word 2013. Since I use Word 2013 for QR barcodes, I don't know what third-party applications might be out there. Perhaps someone else can suggest some. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 05-26-2015 at 01:18 PM. |
