Language!
I have a document that was originally crated in Spanish, but which I have edited substantially and is now in English. However it still thinks it is a Spanish document, so when I do a spell check it checks it in Spanish.
I have followed the instructions in Word Help, and yes in Review, Language, Proofing language it has Spanish checked. However, even after I have Selected English and gone back to spell checking it still has Spanish selected. Even after I checked the set as default box it keeps defaulting to Spanish, and next time I go to Language etc, it has gone back to Spanish. I tried copying and pasting the document to a new one, but no difference. Can anyone help me get this recognised as an English document to spell check in English? Did you select the text (CTRL+A) before applying the proofing language parameter?
Uncheck the option to automatically detect the language. Modify the style(s) used in the document to use the English proofing language.
