Default Having a lot of header/footer problems

I'm new to Word have used WordPerfect for fifteen plus years.
I completed a full page of shapes to create an org. chart. I know that there is a built in command for it but I am able to work easier with shapes. Every time I added a couple of shapes I grouped them as I went along.
Somewhere along the line the chart began to act funny jumping around as I tried to add more shapes, connectig lnes, adding text, etc.
As I am trying to figure out what was going on I discoverd that all of tha chart was in the header. I'd like to shut them off so that can't happen again, but can't.
I opened the header and copied the group to another page. Lo and behold it was in the header again. Before I try to fix this problem I thought I had better get advise from the experts. So I am issueing a cry for help.

Copying something from the header to the body of the document doesn't remove it from the header. To remove it from the header, you need to cut or delete it.

See Word for Word Perfect Users, seriously. You will be a lot happier.
Basic Concepts of Microsoft Word - from Shauna Kelly

As was said, if you cut your group of shapes and paste it into the body of the document, you can move it out of the header.

Thanks. Paul
That bit of info is just what I needed. I selected and CUT and then pasted to a new page. It worked. Probably without a bunch of editing commands to cluttter it up. Sure do miss WP "Reveal Codes".
