Default How do I edit text in Quick Parts?

I have Word 2013. I have three chunks of AutoText that I insert into form letters several times a day. These bits of text I insert from the Quick Access Toolbar.

My question: How do I edit this text? I clicked on Quick Parts but don't know how to make the changes so that they appear in my AutoText.

I have Microsoft Office 2013 for Dummies. It didn't help my with this problem though. Maybe I'm too dumb even for Dummies.

Insert the entry into a document. Edit it there. Select the edited material and use it to recreate the QuickPart (AutoText, I would guess).

Default Edit AutoText: it should not be that hard.

I've read through all the help guides in Word 2013 for Quick Parts and AutoText but I still can't do the simple job of editing the AutoText that I have on the Quick Access Toolbar.

Of course I followed your suggestion but this just transferred the edited text to Quick Parts. When I am in Quick Parts I can place the mouse pointer over AutoText. Then I see the text I want to change. But I don't know how to make the change. I can't transfer the change I made in Quick Parts to the AutoText.

It should be so simple to edit my paragraph! It's frustrating not to be able to do it.

Default A correction

I'm in the wrong forum. It's not the Word program I'm having a problem with. It's Outlook. I'll post my question there. Sorry about the confusion.

If you can save Quick Parts (with the same entry name and category) in Outlook, you would follow the same procedure.

There is no facility for directly editing AutoText or other Building Blocks. All you can do is save over the top of the existing one.
