Raffle ticket numbering
I need to produce 175 raffle tickets. I thought I could do it with a mail merge, but, apparently since I am using a label template and have changed the layout, Word can't comprehend what to do; update labels remains grayed out.
What I have made is a five-row, single column table. Each row incorporates both sides of the ticket, so that one side goes to the holder and the other, with his or her contact info, can be torn off and put in the jar. So, I need to use fields to put the same number in two places on each ticket, beginning with 001. I have looked for Word raffle-ticket links but have not found anything useful for 2013. I would be grateful for either a link or clear instructions. I'm am guessing I'll need to duplicate the table on 25 pages and use either two SEQ fields or a SEQ and a REF, but have never created a document using either. Thanks. |

Neat!
Thanks, Stephan. It took me a while to get it right, and I couldn't get the number where I initially wanted it, but a minor redesign solved the issue. I think I must have missed something about placement of the numbers. Anyway, it's a neat tool to have.
