I want to set up a Word document with 2 columns with each column independent of the other. In other words, I want to be able to type into each column without respect to the other.

Right now the second column receives overflow from the first. How can I stop it and leave both columns autonomous?

Thanks
JDT

The only thing I can think of that won't lead to other difficulties, is creating a 2-column table instead, and formatting it with no borders, so that the borders will remain invisible.

Does that help you?

Thanks for replying. I have already figured out that I can apply a page break at the end of the first column text and start adding text into the second column. Easy once you figure out the right way to do it.

Thanks
