Change one page number in existing TOC Word 2013
A couple of years ago I created an automatic TOC in Word 2010. I've since upgraded to 2013, and I am now working on that document in the new version. I frankly have no recollection of how I created that TOC in the first place, and I am now faced with the problem of having to change just one page number in it. Can this be done, or do I have to re-create the entire TOC.
Thanks for any guidance. |

I'm not sure I understand the problem – a Table of Contents is generated, and if the document changes you just update the Table of Contents. You don't need to tinker with the Table of Contents itself to adjust the numbering.
Don't know what 2013 does, but in 2010 you can right-click on a Table of Contents and select Update Field from the context menu. |

Simpler still, press Ctrl-A, F9 to ensure all document references, including the TOC, are updated.
