Word (2010) Comments Authors Vanished
A 2010 Word file was edited by multiple people. Each comment entered has the respective initials to identify the author. Now when I enter a comment, my initials appear until I save and close the document. When reopened, all the comments are there, but no initials. Does anyone know what would have happened?

Make sure the problem document is the active document. Click File tab | Options | Trust Center | Trust Center Settings | Privacy Options. Clear "Remove personal information from file properties on save." Click OK twice.
"Remove personal information..." will be selected for a document after you have used the Document Inspector.

Unfortunately not. The Document Inspector has deleted that information.
