Default Transferring Autocorrect entries from 2010 to 2013

I am trying to transfer my autocorrect entries created in Word 2010 to Word 2013.

So far all I can find are instructions or macros for transferring entries from versions prior to Word 2010 to Word 2010, none of which seem to work for transferring from Word 2010 to Word 2013. Can anybody help?

Also I would be interested in any way of restoring the autocorrect right click menu.

I have just managed to circumvent the security settings imposed by Office and finally imported my Autocorrect list!

I would still welcome help on the right click menu though. Why on earth Microsoft removed it beggars belief, it was one of the most useful features in Word.

Don't have 2013 on this computer, but take a look at http://www.addbalance.com/usersguide...ng_AutoCorrect for a utility to copy / edit / move AutoCorrect entries (unformatted and formatted).

The shortcut menu in spell-check was changed in Word 2013 (365). You are not finding the AutoCorrect option because it is not there.

Here are threads on this question.

The only fix suggested is to modify that menu using vba. Here is a link to the page that tells how to modify right-click (context) menus in Ribbon versions of Word.
Although it is written about Word 2007, the method will work with Word 2013.

You would create a template that holds the code and use it as an Add-In.

Default Migrating word 2010 autocorrect to 2013

copy the normal.dot from C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templa tes to the same on the new machine

copy MSO1033.acl from C:\Users\Hal\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office to the same location on the 2013 machine.

This should also work for 2007 to 2010.

Also, you can copy the custom.dic file C:\Users\Hal\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\uproof

make surer your language settings in outlook and other programs are set to english usa from options, language screen
