Column text flow with table across the columns
Hi,
I need to put text in two columns with a table across those two columns. Flow of text needs to be from top of the page all the way down to the end of the first column, and then to flow to the top of the second column. See the picture in attachment (gray squares are columns, arrows are text flow). Is it possible to do in MS Word? Thanks in advance! |

Format the document so that it uses two newspaper columns. Insert the table. Rest the mouse pointer on the table until you see the little square with double arrows and drag the table to the correct location.

If I had that task, my first instinct would be to go to Publisher. Publisher lets you draw two text boxes and link the first to the second to flow the text. Publisher handles table positioning very well.
