Default Convert graphic to text in a table

I created the attached document by copying the screen image from the Comcast website.

Source: https://www.comcast.com/Clu/ChannelLineUp

The dots in the table cells are little graphics. I would like to replace each of them with the letter "Y".

I don't know how to do that with Find and Replace. Can anyone suggest a way?

Thanks

You should be able to copy the graphic symbol you can see and replace it with the Y.

Here is one way that should work.

Block just the symbol, do a control-c (press control and c keys together)
open the find/replace window.
Put the cursor in the find box, control-v (press control and v keys together).
Move to the replace box, enter Y, click replace for the first replace,
if it works, click replace all.

Remember with replace all, all symbols found anywhere will be replaced, so you will understand better what is happening if you replace one at a time.

They are graphic images (pictures), not symbols. If I click on one of them, I see a little border with resize handles.

I don't understand what you are saying.

I uploaded the document. I don't have a problem finding the graphic. There are dozens of them columns 4-9.

Do you have a method that works in the attached document that will replace each little dot with a "Y"?

Click at the top of the document
open the find/replace window.
Put the cursor in the find box, type ^ (that's a shift+6) and letter g.
Move to the replace box, enter Y, click replace all.

Hope that helps.

Wow. That works. I completely misunderstood your solution the first time. My apologies.

I can avoid replacing other graphics by selecting the relevant columns first.

Thanks for that valuable tip.
