Default Awful issues with Word messsing up styles

Hello guys,

So I'm pretty desperate. I've been dealing with Word's styles quirks for a long while, but now it's way beyond anything I understand or can remedy.

I removed any possible style-adjusting automatic option I could find, I even removed them from the bar up top. I want nothing to do with them. But.

Right now it does this weird thing that makes it change the paragraph margin and set a new paragraph (and hence a big space that I NEVER want) after I go to the new line.

This is like A.
This is line B.

This is line C.

That's how my text looks right now if I try to write line C after line B. I have no idea what happened, I checked the entire text and unified font, font size, margins, all the settings, and yet when I try to press enter, he just does this.

I never want to have it make spaces between new paragraphs, doesn't matter if it's the same style or not. I never want it to change my margins either. Can I turn all of those auto-formatting options off forever somewhere? I'm REALLY frustrated with them, because they never do what I want and they always pop up in one way or another to spite me off

Please let me know if I didn't explain the issue clearly enough and I will do my best to fix that. Thank you!

Default Show formatting symbols?

I'm sure you have already done these things, but it always helps me when I turn on the formatting symbols and zoom in; things show up that I was not aware of. Also by rolling over the left side until the arrow appears and clicking to show the properties this way. Also be sure to save the normal page setup and when you have a page that doesn't have the weird formatting; save it as a .dot and then create a direct shortcut to that template somewhere on the desktop. If you want no spacing between paragraphs, set the Line Spacing to "Single" and the Spacing Before and Spacing After to zero. (Line Spacing is the spacing between lines of a paragraph, and Spacing Before/After determines the spacing added as you press Enter.)
