I have a form document where I want users to be able to fill in fields, and they may have a lot of text. I'd like those fields to have "check spelling as you type", i.e. the little squiggly lines if they misspell words. Is there any way to do that?

(Note: I also have fields that are calculated from numeric fields that the user enters. Not sure if this is relevant.)

Hi zeroth,

The "check spelling as you type" function is not available when using formfields. Indeed, no spell checking of formfields is possible without programming intervention.

If you have portions where large amounts of text are permitted, consider putting Section breaks each side of those portions, then leaving them unprotected when you apply the forms protection. That will give access to the normal spell-check functions, including "check spelling as you type".

You add continuous section breaks before and after any editable region and exclude those defined sections from the document protection method.
