Default Can't Display "Recently Used Styles" in Styles Pane

In Word 2003, when you applied a style to a piece of content, a separator line was dynamically inserted at the top of the Styles & Formatting pane - and the names of styles that were recently used appeared above that line. This was very helpful - it avoided having to scroll down the list of styles to locate styles you would use over and over in a document.

I cannot locate a setting in Word 2010 that performs the same functionality. In Word 2003, there wasn't a setting either - it seemed to be a built-in behavior. Is this functionality still available in Word 2010 - or is the Quick Style gallery supposed to be its replacement?

Thank you!

If you have your styles menu opened (along the right-hand side of the screen), click on OPTIONS at the very bottom. A 'Styles Pane Option' menu will open and you can adjust for what styles you want displayed.

Hi Jim - thanks, but that isnt' what I was asking. In Word 2003, say you applied a style called Question Bullet 1 to text. That style is pretty far down the styles list - since it starts with Q. In 2003, before the very first style in your list (that starts with A, for example), a horizontal line would get inserted, and Question Bullet 1 would show up at the beginning of your style list - before the first style (the one that starts with A). This section above the horizontal line would maintain a history of recently used styles. Once you exited the doc, that section would disappear. And start over again the next time you edited the doc and applied styles.

I've attached a screen print from Word 2003 - note the line above the Clear Formatting selection. The three styles shown above it are the recently used styles (that also appear in their correct alphabetical location lower in the styles list).
