Hi Folks,



I'm trying to edit a doc in full-screen reading mode, but i don't seem to be able to! All it let's you do is read? Kinda lame and pointless, if you ask me.

Is there any way to change an option somewhere, or something, to allow editing while in full screen mode?

As the name implies, "Full-screen reading mode" is for reading a document, not editing it, although you can copy from it. It is designed to let you look at a Word document as if using a web browser.

thanks charles - print layout will have to do, with the ribbon minimized.

Note that full screen mode which existed in older versions of Word can still be used in Word 2010. Right-click the Quick Access Toolbar and select the Customize Quick Access Toolbar option from the context menu. In the "All Commands" category, locate the Toggle Full Screen View button and add it the toolbar.

awesome! thanks stefan - that's cool. too bad it doesn't expand over the taskbar also, like F11 does in firefox, etc.
