Default Linking within the same document

Goal: At work we just wrote a new handbook and my boss wants me to make things within the document linkable. This isn't hosted online its just a word file.

I'm using the hyperlink function now, which is basically what I want... But can someone tell me how to define parts of the document that I want the link to jump to within the "place in this document?" I'm not quite certain how to pick a new spot other than top of the document, header etc etc.

Any tips are appreciated. Thanks!
