MS Word figure caption numbering
Hi,
I am writing my thesis which involves compiling a number of different word documents into one. I have modified the multilevel headings to give me heading numbering. I have been using figure caption numbering with success until 120 pages when after pasting in a section, rather than having a figure 5.1, it has figure 1.1. It is fine if I move it two levels to 5 rather than 5.1.1. annoyingly under the same situation a few levels up, it works. |

Hi skaboy,
When you say "after pasting in a section" do you mean a Section with Section breaks, or just some content without Section breaks? If it's the former, I'd suggest checking the setup of the pasted-in Section(s) to ensure they're honouring your numbering scheme.

Hi skaboy,
Can you extract just enough of the document to another one to demonstrate the issue and post it here?
