Spell checker with foreign fonts
Is there a way to turn off spell checker completely whenever I use a foreign font? I know that I can do it if I select all the words in that font, but I want to be able to do it whenever I use that font at all. |

Wow, I was busy trying to translate my answer into Word for Windows when I decided to check which version you were using again. I even still have a copy of Office 2008 installed in addition to 2011.
Under Preferences, choose Spelling and Grammar. Clear the check box for "Check spelling as you type". the very first one. Unfortunately, it won't be specific to any particular font. You will have to remember to turn it back on when you want it again. |

Spell checker
Thanks, V, but I want it only to affect a font, but to remain on when I use other fonts.

I was afraid that was what you were trying to do. Sorry, I don't know of any way to make spell checking dependent on specific fonts.

What font are you using? What language are you using the font with?
Spell and grammar check are available for other languages, but you would still have to specify which language, it would not automatically know just by changing a font. See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ac...010248871.aspx for more info about language packs. |
