sorting table using Macros
I have a table at work that my entire office uses. Some people want the table to be sorted alphabetically using column 1 while others want the entire table sorted numerically by column 2. I do not know a whole lot about macros but can i use macros to have the table sorted easily by clicking on one button?? Please advise |

You could, but that seems a lot of complication for something that's as easy as clicking anywhere in the table, clicking on Table Tools>Layout>Sort, then choosing the column to sort by. A macro would also require the document to be saved in the doc or docm format and would fail for anyone who has a high macro-security setting or doesn't otherwise enable the macro when the document opens
