You can do this with Find/Replace, where:
Find = ^#
Replace = ^&
and you specify highlighting for the replacement in the first round, and no highlighting for the replacement in the first round. No VBA required.

Hi,
My Query is: How to highlight all the numbers in the document and remove the highlight after checking all the numbers.
your Answer:

I do not think you have answered my query, it is someone else's. It has no way in relation to numbers.

Thanks in advance
Sharath
