Default Cannot launch EXE from MS2013 Macro

Hi,

I have a macro running in MS2013 on Windows 8.0, it can create a file (copy of active document) however it cannot launch a .NET exe using a shell command.

When we run word as an admin all works fine.

I have assigned execute permissions on the EXE to the user running word.

Anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Try using Shell outside of Word. If that does not work, and it is quite possible it will not, then it is a Windows issue, not a Word issue. Windows 7 (and 8) does some unexpected things with permissions.
