Am I able to create a numbered field that increases each time the form is used?
I am creating a form (in Office 2011 for mac) that will include a job number and would rather the document automatically update the job instead of the operator.

Probably best would be a document variable. Document Variables (Hidden Gems in Word)
You would use a document variable field to display it. Anything you do will require use of vba (macros) and you can't force a user to allow their use. |
