MS Word 2007 line numbering in tables
I have a 5 page table in which I need to add line numbers (not cell numbers) The reason it is a table is to separate different sections of text.
The cells have varying numbers of lines depending on the volume of text. I need the line numbers to ignore the cells and be advancing and continuous throughout the document. is this possible? Thanks |

Not possible using the line numbering feature.
You could add an additional cell at the beginning of each row to hold number and then either use a SEQuence Field to populate or use numbering attached to styles. How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in Ribbon Versions of Word by Shauna Kelly |

Word's line numbering already ignores tables entirely.
