Default Which Style allows restricted table contents to be cleared....

hi
I have a restricted Word 2016 doc, with multiple tables. I've created custom styles to allow the users to format table cells as required.

When the dox is unrestricted, users are able to highlight multiple cells and press DELETE to clear contents, but when the doc is restricted, they cannot select multiple cells, but instead, have to clear one cell at a time.

My question is, which style do I need to enable so that when the doc is restricted, the user are able to clear multiple cells ?

That is a consequence of the protection and has nothing to do with Styles. That said, if you mark the entire row as an exception, you can delete the row and insert a new one - which may be quicker than clearing individual cells.

The original reason I created a restricted doc, was to stop users from deleting rows, forcing them to just clear the contents. The restricted doc works to this extent, by not allowing rows to be deleted.

So by restricting a doc, I've automatically disabled the ability to clear multiple cells in multiple rows ?
