Links within a table
Hello
I have a problem with tables and internal links within a WORD document. I have started to assemble info within a table with headings in the first column and the corresponding info in the second column. That way I can sort it alphabetically for a table of contents and keep doing so when I add new info in additional cells. However, sometimes it is necessary to put in links. Those to external sources, such as other WORD documents, are no problem. When I sort the contents and the content might move up or down the link stays with the text and works perfectly. What I need help with is how to put in internal links, i.e. links to other cells within the same table. When I sort the contents and those of a cell move the link seems to stay with the cell not the text. Is there a way to achieve that the link moves as well? Many thanks Rudi |

What kinds of internal links are you using? If they're cross-references or hyperlinks to bookmarks, sorting shouldn't have any effect on them. If the source content is numbered, though, hyperlinks won't reflect the new numbers (cross-references will, after a print preview or Ctrl-A, F9).
