Default MS Visio 2013, Problem with equation editor 3.0

I have a kind of strange problem with the equation editor 3.0 in my Visio 2013 version (I'm using Windows 8.1 if this is an issue).

While working on the document and inserting a new equation everything works just fine and the equation is displayed in the way it should be.
But when I save and close the document, and reopen it afterwords, all equations are not displayed correctly. After opening an equation individually (doulbe left click) and closing the editor afterwards, this specific equation is shown in the correct way again.
This can best be shown on two screenshots:
Unbenannt1.jpg: after opening the file. The equations are not displayed correctly.
Unbenannt2.jpg: after "editing" (open and close) the individual equations.

Unfortunatly the wrong displayed equations also show up wrong by printing the document, which means that this is a significant issue for me. It takes a lot of time to open and close every single equation every single time I work on the document...

Is there anyway to solve this problem? Or is there a work-around by "auto-refreshing" every equation in the document?

I have really no idea what to do and would appreciate every hint you can give me!
Thank you in advance
Best regards
