Default Automaticly adjust project length

Hi

I'am have a project where the time given me is workdays that amounts to four ears, say from 01.08.11 to 01.08.15. From time to time I'm given other jobs that could last from days to months. These other jobs gives me a postponing in my original project according to their duration. E.g., during one year one job is giving a postponing that is such that my worktime on the original project is reduced to 80% of original workdays. An other example of postponing (more simple I guess) is such that it last from one date to a other date, a third is such that it last a certain amount of workdays. (Obviously public holidays/red-letter-days must handled also).

Is there build in feature to handle this things?

On beforehand, thanks for help!

Hello LarsO,

Do you have resources assigned to the tasks in the 4 year project? If so, then you can use Project to help extend the project to adjust for other projects.

Tell us a bit more about how your project is set up and we'll try to assist.

Julie
