Cut/Paste or Export to include headings and multiline notes.
I have a project plan for a testing program, in which I've been storing details of each test in the "notes" field.
Obviously, I can only see the first line of the notes from my gantt chart view (though it would be nice to have another view which would sho all my tasks with full notes, but I believe that is not possible. My question is... Now that I have each task populated with full notes (multiple lines, bullet points, indents etc), how can I get this information into either excel or word, so I can see a list of tests with associated information displayed in full alongside? Copying and pasting from the gantt view conly seems to copy the first line of the notes. I'm hoping I don't need to open the notes property of each task and laboriously copy the notes out of the text box and into excel/word. thanks Guy |

Hi Bluphoto,
the notes cannot be directly exported to Excel, you'll need to use SQL or VBA. The notes are stored as a binary large object and will not export correctly. Julie |
