Default Task duration between 2 fixed milestones

Hi,
in this simple senario

M1--!
ß---- task ---à!
M2
M1 is a milestone, task is FS to M1 and M2 is a milestone fixed in time. How can I let the task duration ALWAYS be the duration between M1 and M2?

I'd like to move M2 far in time and see the task duration getting larger.

Thanks,

/Stefano

Hello Stefano,

I believe you are looking for a hammock task.

I hope this helps.

Exactly! Thanks a lot, I'm going to try it.
However it seems like a workaround, since I cannot connect the tasks to have a complete network diagram. I'll investigate.

You're welcome. You are correct as the task has no predecessor or successor tasks, it will not fall "neatly" on the network diagram -- it will however appear without issue.
