Default Error updating DC with WSUS

I have a Domain controller which logs the following error in the event viewer.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: crypt32
Event Category: None
Event ID: 8
Date: 08/10/2006
Time: 08:49:04
User: N/A
Failed auto update retrieval of third-party root list sequence number from: <> with error: A connection with the server could not be established
For more information, see Help and Support Center at

I have Group Policies set up to update everyone's PC (Including the servers) automatically, which disables the feature of users updating their PC's themselves.

This error, however, is only on the server and with only one update (KB908981)

Any help will really be appreciated!

Default Managed to solve it myself

In case anyone else has the same problem - I downloaded the patch manually and tried to install it, and it popped up with an error about a pre-requisite - It complained about Microsoft Windows not installed on the Server!! Duh - I'm trying to UPDATE Windows with a security patch and now I get this crap error!!!

Anyways, I manged to get an answer which worked:
Thanks Mauricio Freitas.

Simply add:
Microsoft Windows"=dword:00000000
In the following:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server Extensions\5.0\Setup Packages]

Worked like a breeze! :P
