WMV movie in powerpoint not sharp
Hi all,
I have inserted a WMV movie into my Powerpoint presentation and as a result it has lost significant sharpness. Its very important to retain the sharpness as I am a photographer and the movie is in effect just a slideshow of my images. Could it be a resolution issue? The image that were used to create the slide show are full resolution large JPEGS images (300ppi- 8x12 ins) Appreciate your comments, Biffo |

Hi there Here's a page with tips for you:
http://www.deskshare.com/Resources/a...owerPoint.aspx According to this article, the WMV has to be the same resolution as the PPT in order to look good. Another option is to just bring the JPEGs into PPT and use an animation transition between them, instead of video. It will look better, of course, but I imagine that file size is your reason for using WMV. Last edited by noni; 11-27-2011 at 09:19 AM. Reason: typo :o |

Thanks for that!
The reason I wanted to use a movie file was so that I could have 1 slide with multiple images that had the images changing as I talked about that slide. Cheers, Biffo |

You're welcome! I'm glad I could help. BTW, you could still use JPEGs with automatic transitions set on a delay of your choosing, but nothing wrong with using a movie either Good luck with your presentation!
