Default How to change just BACKGROUND of master slide in Ppt 2003?

My master slide has a photo as the background (covering the whole slide) that I'd like to delete, but I'd like to keep the formatting of the stuff on top of the photo--fonts etc.. I'm using Powerpoint 2003. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

The quickest and dirtiest way would be to slap something on top of it-- another photo, or colored box, etc. and send that to the back of the master.
