Default Powerpoint-2019 Text in selected theme remains in All Caps even when small caps option is selected

I have been trying in vain to change the font from all caps to small caps using the theme I have chosen in Powerpoint 2019. Even when I had selected the small caps option on the masterslide font format window, the text remains in all caps. This is very annoying!

Just checking that you know that "Small Caps" is actually all caps (but smaller)

Thank you, I meant to say lowercase not small caps. However, I have managed to sort it out. Thanks again.
