PowerPoint doesn't finish creating video
Is there a quick and permanent solution to this error message I keep getting in Power Point 2013?
I can't upload the screen shot as it takes up too much space so I will type it out for you. Anybody interested in helping me out please send an email address and I will provide you a screen shot as this is a continual error I get in Power Point and the only solution I know of is to either rebuild from scratch and hope for the best or use a third party pptx to video conversion program like Leawo, of which none of them are as good as the native Microsoft tools that come bundled in with Power Point. You're looking at 1280 x 720 max resolution and sound quality is poor at best with the third party tools. After spending 4 hours on a project and 45 minutes attempting to save to video I get this error message... "Power Point could not finish creating video (title of video). Do you want to try again?" Trying again without taking radical actions results in the same error message. I have scoured the forums high and low, looked at all the FAQs on TechNet and Office 365 and nobody has any kind of permanent fix to this problem. Once you receive this error it appears the only way to use the native Power Point tools is to rebuild from scratch and hope for the best. I will gladly give $50 to whoever can find a quick and permanent fix for this particular error that can be consistently counted upon so I don't have to dismantle a day's worth of work and try again - or use the third party tools that cost additional money and have inferior quality output. This has happened on multiple occasions, and once encountered it will happen on all versions of Power Point, not just 2013. Thank you, Chris Last edited by Aymincendiary; 04-08-2018 at 04:24 PM. I blame 'trim video'
I was having this problem too.
I had a video in my presentation where I had used the 'Trim Video' function to shorten the video. I deleted this video from the presentation, then trimmed it to the required length in a separate program (in my case, I used Windows Movie Maker). Then I reinserted the new shorter version of the video into the presentation. Powerpoint's export to video was then able to complete successfully. Hopefully this is a solution for you! |
