PowerPoint - odd symbol appearing on slide
The attached odd symbol appears every now and then on a PowerPoint slide (the symbol is just the white part, the black is the background of the slide). It can only be seen on certain computers (the problem being that the computer that I create the slideshows on doesn't show them while the one that projects the slideshows to the big screens does show them). Has anyone seen this before and can give me some idea on how it would be appearing and how to prevent it?
Thanks in advance. |

The symbol is Line Separator which normally does not print. Maybe the PC's where it does have different fonts.
It's not easy to insert into PowerPoint so maybe you copy pasted text from a website where it's use is more common. |

Thanks John, I wondered if it was something like that. But since PPT doesn't have the ability to Show/Hide non-printing characters, it's difficult to know where they are. I sometimes deliberately use linebreaks in PPT but I've only come across this issue twice in the past couple of months so maybe it is only when the text has been copied from a website.
