How do I insert a file of sorted photos and retain that order?

How do I insert a file of sorted photos and retain that order? I have file of photos that are arranged in the order of the photos year. The name of each file is the year depicted, but when inserting all the files at once they are arranged in random order. I cannot find a way of sorting within Powerpoint.
