Hi,

I can't set the proofing language at my powerpoint file.
As documented in the help page of microsoft, I'm trying to click the "set proofing language" button in review ribbon > language menu, but I can't click the button because it's disabled.



Note that I'm also having this problem in any new powerpoint file I create.


I would be really happy if you could help.

You need to select a shape before this is activated.

Thanks a lot!
As you said after selecting a shape it becomes activated.
But I'd like to set the language for the whole powerpoint document.

How can I do that?

There should be a "Set Default" but note this only changed the language for NEW text.

If all of the text is in placeholders, switch the view of the left pane to OUTLINE and select everything then set the language. If it is not in Placeholders the only way is an AddIn. We do one but it's not free.
