Default Recording and inserting audio

Hi all

Is it reliable/appropriate to record audio (using a microphone) over a ppt
using the 'insert' then 'audio' tab in Powerpoint, then save the whole file

(audio and ppt) as one mp4 file for upload elsewhere? I assume so but just wanted to check this was a sound (no pun intended) way to do this.

Cheers,

Dave
