Default Click Icon to Add Picture Box

In previous versions of PPT I am sure I was able to print screen and paste into the "Click icon to add picture" box and the screen shot pasted directly into the box. Now whenever I try to capture a screen shot and paste into the box it just pastes directly over the top in PPT.

I am using PPT 2010 64 bit and Windows 7 64 bit.

Any ideas on how to resolve or what I am doing wrong?

Many thanks in advance!

If you select the placeholder and paste it should paste into the placeholder.

You could right click the placeholder > Format Shape
Choose Fill > Picture and select CLIPBOARD

Thank you. That might help, I have also discovered if I print screen and paste to word and then copy from there it pastes fine into the PPT placeholder too. So a combination of the two and whatever works quickest should work.

Many thanks for the suggestion.
