I just need to find ppt*.tmp file please
Hi
I am new her. Hello everyone. I have a problem with my daughter not saving a file. Clicking I have told her 1000 times t ctrl+s . I have read that office 2010 has a recovery feture not like office 2000. I have read that I just need to find ppt*.tmp file. Her computer is windows 8.1 The search will not find any ppt*.tmp files. Can I find them manually? Anyone know where these .tmp are kept? Thanks in advance Joe

So is your daughter using 2000 or 2010. It's not simple to make 2000 run in 8.1 sio I'll assume 2010
tmp files are only saved in a crash and are not likely to help. If you go to File > Recent there may be a "recover unsaved Presentations" button at the bottom.

Yes this will not work before 2010. Also 2000 is pretty flaky in Windows 8!
